Promoting the quality of life of the poorest and most marginalised women in Area C of Bethlehem and Hebron governorates

About the project

  • The name of the project is: “ Promoting the quality of life of the poorest and most marginalized women in Area C of Bethlehem and Hebron governorates.”
  • This project is a partnership of three institutions of the local community as follows:
  1. QADER for community development .
  2. Psycho Social Counseling Center for Women.
  3. Palestinian Family Planning & Protection Association (PFPPA).


This project is working on 15 residential community between villages and Bedouin communities, all of which are located in Area C and the people living, specially women, including economic and social conditions and suffering from severe difficulty in movement and a weak infrastructure and basic services.

The project aims to empower women, especially women with disabilities and mothers who have Childs with disabilities, women heads of households, and the project includes the following themes:

  • Provide Sexual and Reproductive health services.
  • Aware women about Sexual and Reproductive health.
  • Empower women’s capabilities in the field of professional work which it will help them to enter the labor market.
  • Support women with small projects to raise their income.
  • Provide psychological counseling and social services for women.
  • Provide supported tools for women and children with disabilities .
  • Conduct an advocacy campaign to uphold the voice of women to the concerned authorities.
  • Improving the awareness and attitudes of the community towards women with disabilities.

The duration of this project is 18 months, its implementing through the three partner institution that have been already mentioned before in the coordination framework in accordance with the field work and the specialization of each institution. PFPPA is working in health education and providing with SRH&R.
